Good to know
Frequently asked questions
Everything you might want to know before you fly. Still unsure about something? Call us any time — we are happy to talk it through.
How far in advance should I book?
A day or two is usually fine for shared flights, but weekends, holidays and sunset slots fill quickly. For private charters and special occasions we recommend booking three to five days ahead so we can hold your preferred time.
What is the difference between a shared and a private flight?
On a shared flight you take a seat alongside other guests on a fixed route — the most affordable way to fly, and everyone still gets a window. A private charter books the whole aircraft for your group, with a flexible route and the freedom to choose your departure time.
How many people can fly at once?
Our Airbus H130 and H125 helicopters seat up to five passengers plus the pilot. Seating is arranged by weight for balance, and we guarantee every passenger a window seat.
Where do the helicopters depart from?
Flights lift off from our helipad on Palm Jumeirah. Once your booking is confirmed we send the exact location, parking details and an arrival time — usually 30 minutes before your slot for check-in and the safety briefing.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Safety always comes first. If conditions are unsuitable we will contact you to reschedule at no charge, or offer a full refund if you cannot make another time. Dubai weather is clear most of the year, so cancellations are rare.
Is it safe, and who flies the helicopter?
Every flight is operated by GCAA-certified commercial pilots on a modern, fully maintained Airbus fleet. You will get a complete safety briefing before boarding, and our aircraft meet UAE General Civil Aviation Authority standards.
What should I wear and bring?
Dress comfortably — smart casual is perfect. Bring your phone or camera for photos, and sunglasses for the glare off the Gulf. Leave loose hats and scarves behind, as they can blow around near the rotors.
Can I take photos and video during the flight?
Absolutely, and you will want to. The windows are large and clear, and your pilot will angle the aircraft so you get clean shots of the Burj Khalifa, the Palm and the coastline. We just ask that devices stay inside the cabin.
Are there age or weight restrictions?
Children are welcome and infants may fly on a parent’s lap depending on the aircraft. For balance and safety we ask for passenger weights at booking; there is no strict limit, but very high total weights may require a private charter.
Can you arrange a proposal or special celebration?
Gladly — a private charter is one of the most memorable places in Dubai to propose or celebrate. Tell us what you have in mind when you book and we will help with timing, routing and the little details.
